There is a big misconception that in order to get the benefits from resveratrol, one had to consume red wine. This is not the case as resveratrol is found in white wine as well. Studies have been performed and with all the same results: it does not matter what variety of wine you drink, you will still get resveratrol. You shouldn’t be surprised as resveratrol is found in the skin of all grapes, which is used to make wine. Regardless of color, don’t expect to drink a glass of wine and expect to get all of the benefits. It is believed that resveratrol no matter what the source has to be consumed over some time before any benefits are noticed.
